Hello guys I need some assistance. I am looking to purchase a Samsung s24 ultra or an iPhone 15 pro for product photography and video. Which one do you recommend?
anyway you can do iphone 12 pro vs 15 pro. pro raw. main cameras mostly and do side by side editing to see how much difference there really is. i think this would be super dope.
iphone > s24u here, but close.... most because color saturation. Samsung always with this fake ultra blue sky. I was hoping for more neutral colors and no exaggerated HDR optimizations on RAW. Did not happen. And it seems that Samsung exaggerates the "optimization" when the Sun appears. There should be a switch in the settings: Samsung colors <-> Real colors.
chromatic abberation on trees and high contrast objects, purple or magenta tint on blacks, and deep blue skies are dead giveaways for the S24 ultra. For example, the portrait girl's knitted black robe looked magenta instead of black. Night sky looked magenta, the crane has chromatic abberation and oversharpened.
Do you think the S24 Ultra is still oversharpening its photos?Im thinking of getting it or the S23 Ultra or the s24 Ultra.I still think in the back of my mind i should get the Iphone though.....
I preferred the iPhone shot almost every time before you revealed which it was. On thing I noticed when you were showing the raw shot of the crane, the Samsung has weird HDR cutouts around the crane and cables where the iPhone is much cleaner. It’s like it’s highlighted around thin lines.
I think RAW is messed up on the S24 Ultra. It is being processed like its a jpeg. It was never like this in previous phones. It seems like a bug, not a feature. RAW photos on the native camera app is broken IMO, and this is coming from someone who owns the S24 Ultra.
Turn off scene optimizer, I know it's on by default and you wanna do these tests "all auto," but the majority of my peers with Galaxy S always turn off scene optimizer. Heck, I'd even say the majority of users do, so yeah, turn that off whenever you run these sort of test
Colors are always worse on samsung, also you can notice less detail in the shadows, and for some reason, there's smearing and oversharpening on the walking shot.. even in raw.. I absolutely do not understand the hype. The only photo that's objectively better with samsung is the lock.
i prefer 65-70% photos from B
but photo A portrait looks more sharper nd detailed and maintained highlights better more often.B is often more vibrant and has better color and contrast, sometimes they look soo identical that i cant differentiate
I have to say something.
I'm not using any of those phones.
But if you compare the cameras, you have to go all out.
I think if someone wants to get the best picture you have to use 200mp option that's the simplest thing (i phone doesn't have the) it's not a Samsung's fault.
You can compare 48mp -50mp
But if you want to say what is the best camera phone it has to be based on their best performance.
I don't understand why peoples act 200mp option is just a unwanted thing. It's their for get the best picture.
Think you have to get a group photo, think what's ganna be the best
both are so so good .. Lest we forget, the iPhone has been updated several times and improved .. As for Samsung, it did not receive any improvements and feedback yet
Many of youtubers defend their iphone that it gave accurate and consistent white balance. Then why my ip13 white balance sucks and the color is muddy?
Is it because it only the base model? Please help
S23 ultra and s24 ultra are both on beast mode for samsung and no iphones are touching them 2 monsters of a phone. Everything bout them two galaxy phones are on 100% point..
I got it wrong completely, I overall prefered B much more and thought it was iPhone, but I'm glad it was the Ultra all along since I use samsung's ecosystem!
I feel like iphone takes real images but samsung makes them prettier with software therefore creates illusion that it has better camera. It's weird that it can capture moon but can not do the same for human skin in close range.
In my opinion, the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra stands out for its exceptional cleanliness and stunning color reproduction. While the iPhone offers well-balanced shadow reproduction, my comprehensive evaluation leads me to favor the S24 Ultra as the superior overall smartphone.
so they are almost about the same.. but .. apple 15 pro max has better video overall.. so...i want great pictures and videos.. my vote is apple 15 pro max! ( although im waiting for the iphone 16 pro max in september. Im using a galaxy fold 5 at this moment and im both apple and samsung fan.... :)
The reason the RAW files from S24 Ultra looks weird is because you used the Expert RAW app & not the "Pro Mode" on the actual camera app.
Expert RAW app does some processing to the RAW file which is horrendous. Terrible processing, and defeats the purpose of shooting RAW in my opinion. Samsung needs to fix it with an update because it's adding tons of sharpening also, as well as an overly processed look. It's funny because Expert RAW app givesvyou 16bit RAW files compared to 12bit on stock camera app.
You're not actually getting proper RAW, untouched files from Expert RAW.
You need to use "Pro" mode instead.
Although not a fan of iPhones, gotta admit that portrait RAW file looks nice & full of depth even before editing.
Thanks for the video. It seems that anything more subjective is problematic on the Samsung. When engineers decide things that have to do with aesthetics, it almost always goes wrong.
have you tried playing with the profile slider at the top, just below "Apple ProRaw" / "Samsung Expert RAW"? that slider seems to adjust tone mapping, so maybe that'll fix the Samsung skin tone issue you were talking about?
Hi is it possible to copy a big amount of fotos/ videos ( I’m talking about 10.000 or more) with the usb-c cable to the computer (windows) without having to use iCloud?
Thank you for this comparison! I watch all the flagship comparisons every year and i respect your opinion a lot! Keep up the good work and dont stop posting videos!!
A little heartbreaking to realize Im liking the iphone shots a LOT more than the samsungs here. & Im a samsung user. Samsung usually beats iphone but doesnt seem like it after watching this.
Your camera comparisons are top tier! And you know what you're talking about... Your shots are just pleasing with both phones, which goes to show you can't really go wrong with any of these phones. It's just about you, the shooter!... Loving my s24 ultra so much
I dislike the "deep blue" sky on the s24u photos, or on most samsung phones.
But I love the non round corners of the s24u! I don`t understand the weird rounded screens of iPhones and most android phones...
(s24u, redmagic phones and sony xperia phones have "tv-like screens" with no rounded corners.)
I was so close to buying the iPhone 15 pro max only because it has cleaner interface, great performance and better camera but then I realized that s24 ultra has them except a bad camera and color profile. However, the reason I went with S24 Ultra instead of iPhone 15 pro max is because I literally edit all of my photos first before I upload them. If you're more of a casual user then go with iPhone. I personally love S24 Ultra because it has a little bit more functionality.
I honestly thought that A were the photos from the S24 ultra because of the white balance, colors and sometimes less details. Very impressive Samsung with the S24 ultra.
Honestly, either would be great depending on which ecosystem you prefer or are married to. Neither beats a good full frame 35 mm mirrorless with a quality lens attached.
With all due respect you're confusing details with sharpening, especially in the crane photo where the Samsung Photo has more sharpening but less details.
I've used Note 20 ultra in the past, and currently using 14 pro max. (I take a lot of photo in a lot of situation)
And both of these device have their unique separate photo post processing style, and it's surprisingly obvious once you know those unique tenets (image sharpness with zoom range too), 90% of these photos are dead giveaway and easy to crack.
Great video and honest comparisons. Wanna see comparisons of this phones based on usage , functionality and capabilities. The fact that i couldn't tell which pictures comes from which phone it keep flipping depending on environment makes me believe that iPhone is going to dust . Cos camera ,video ,battery and animation smothnes was the only category they are holding but samsung close it all and passed in few . Its time iPhone start adding more functionality to their just to catch up with samsung. Samsung is still better phone all round. And 90 % of users dosent edit the photos before posting which make the old format of samsung pictures (saturated and colour boosting) more pleasing to the public. 9% will be happy with pro video and pictures. Only 1% is interested in expert raw and pro res or log. Which all already has over 5k professional cameras which for editing phone camera cant beat them. Only look better if not going to edit them . Versatility and productivity wise iphone is like 4th generations phone to samsung as note 20 ultra still has more useful features and comparable cameras to the 15 pro max .
Most long time apple users think android phone cameras are bad because they dont understand that apple still uses sms and mms, which degrades every photo that is sent to them thats not via imessage. They think its just how the photo looks
The iPhone appears more realistic in most scenarios. In fact, I would like to see which of the two mobile phones has a more accurate screen color display.
The 15 Pro Max just destroys the S24 Ultra. Colours on the S24 ultra just look really bad compared to the iPhone. Cant beleive this is what samsung had for their "flagship"
iPhone is great always. I can say it for my many years experience.. Stylish, ergonomic design, great display, performance, simple UI and 2nd hand sale value, yes the best thing is sale vale! We get newer Samsung devices at a higher prices, after in a few months the prices sharply decreases..

How to eliminate those greenish tints at shadow area?
B is iphone
Look at the details
Iphone maintain texture better most of the time than samsung
yellowish? -> Iphone
oversaturated? -> Samsung
I got the new S24 ultra and I've not once faced the over exposure issue you mentioned here
I'm not using any of those phones.

Lol I'm sure someone will say that
